Bourbon Whiskey

Bourbon is a type of American whiskey made from at least 51% corn. The rest may fall on rye or wheat. The distillate contains at least 80 proof (40% alcohol). The name is derived from Borbon County in Kentucky, where this whiskey is produced since the 18th century. Although its production is not territorially limited, it is strongly associated with the US South and, above all, with the state of Kentucky.
